Camosun College has a number of funded seats available for their Camosun Bridge Watch Rating program starting June 27. It is open to Indigenous people and women who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents looking to begin a career working as deckhands in the marine industry. It is also a prerequisite to work on vessels over 500 gross tons and offers several valuable industry certifications. WSÁNEĆ Leadership Council – Youth Employment Opportunity Position Summary The 6 W̱SÁNEĆ Youth Reef Net Workers will work closely and under the direction of knowledge holders to learn the specific knowledge to construct the SX̱OLE. Once the Reef Net construction is complete, the successful youth candidates will then set the SX̱OLE at a SWÁLET (Reef Net Location) site to be determined within the Gulf Islands.
