Doug Lafortune
Doug LaFortune is a W̱SÁNEĆ artist residing in Tsawout First Nation for over 30 years with his wife Kathleen. He was mentored by Master Carver Simon Charlie, who encouraged him to develop his own unique style of contemporary and traditional Coast Salish art. Doug’s work can be found in private and corporate collections. His most recent work is a 30 ft. totem pole in Butchart Gardens.
Doug is the father to 3 children, and grandfather to 6 grandchildren, and much of his work is done in collaboration with his son, Doug Horne.
