IMB is seeking an Elders Committee Coordinator
Job Summary
The Indigenous Management Board (IMB) is seeking an Elders Committee Coordinator. The Coordinator will establish and manage the IMB Elders Committee, coordinating six meetings annually, including travel and cultural arrangements. Key responsibilities include hosting meetings, facilitating discussions, coordinating with technical committees, and ensuring honorariums and expenses are managed.
The ideal candidate will have experience with First Nations Elders, event coordination, and proficiency in Microsoft applications. The role requires knowledge of SENĆOŦEN and Hul’q’umi’num cultures, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with tact and confidentiality.
This one-year part-time contract offers 8-10 hours per week at a negotiable rate of $30-$45 per hour, with work primarily from home and occasional in-person meetings.
Preference will be given to First Nations candidates as per Section 16(1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act.
