Join Us April 13th to share your vision For A Shared Future As W̱SÁNEĆ People

In the last community engagement session in February 2021, we covered “Our Shared History as a W̱SÁNEĆ people.” An event where we looked at our history as told by non-indigenous, we then also had an opportunity to listen to our elders about our oral history as a W̱SÁNEĆ people. Using these two versions of history, we created a timeline using a miro board that we then shared with you.

Now that we have looked at our past, this session will focus on the present.

In this session on Tuesday, April 13th from 6-8pm, we will:

  1. Present the key results of our community engagement sessions so far.
  2. Outline some of the issues you brought up, and voiced as being important.
  3. Begin to look forward to our future.

You will be walked through a facilitated visioning exercise where we can capture your thoughts on what to include in a vision statement for the W̱SÁNEĆ Marine and Land use plan, beginning with the question:

What do you hope for in our shared future as a W̱SÁNEĆ people?
