The Indigenous Management Board (IMB) was formed to honour all of our familial relations and to work together in a good way with NEȾOLṈEW̱ / Nutsaʼ maat shqwaluwun – one heart, one mind. In this short film, representatives from some of the eleven member Nations of the IMB talk about why we are working together to take up and take back our roles, responsibilities, and authorities for the future of our marine territories and waters. The member Nations of the IMB are: Quw’utsun Nation (Cowichan Tribes, Halalt First Nation, Lyackson First Nation, Penelakut Tribe, and Stz’uminus First Nation), W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Council (representing Tsartlip First Nation and Tseycum First Nation), Malahat Nation, Pauquachin First Nation, Snuneymuxw First Nation, and Tsawout First Nation.
