We’re excited to announce that the W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Council is forming a Youth Council Advisory Committee!

The committee will provide recommendations on matters related to W̱SÁNEĆ youth and community, and we’re looking for enthusiastic young people to join us. Do you know someone who’s outgoing, has ideas for W̱SÁNEĆ’s future, has knowledge of W̱SÁNEĆ culture or a willingness to learn?

Nominate them for the W̱SÁNEĆ Youth Council!

The WLC is running a TikTok and Instagram contest throughout April and May.

To nominate someone, tag them in the comments of this weeks contest post and say “I nominate @theirname”. You’ll both be entered into our weekly prize draw!

Each week, we’ll draw winners who will receive gift cards. If you’re drawn, both you and the person you nominated will receive a prize!

Eligible nominees must be W̱SÁNEĆ Community Members between the ages of 16 and 29 who are willing to speak their minds.

The Youth Advisory Committee is an opportunity for young people to have their say on important issues that affect their daily lives, while also providing fantastic career opportunities to practice leadership skills, work as a team, and develop conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. It’s a chance to make a real difference in the community, and we can’t wait to see who will join us!
