Job Opportunity: Senior Manager, SRKW Monitoring Program


JOB DESCRIPTION

As an organization focused on self-determination, the W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Council (WLC) works to enhance recognition of, and respect for, W̱SÁNEĆ Douglas Treaty rights and W̱SÁNEĆ Aboriginal rights and title on behalf of Tsartlip First Nation, Tsawout First Nation, and Tseycum First Nation. The WLC is currently working to establish a monitoring program related to Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKW) within W̱SÁNEĆ Territory. The establishment and operation of this monitoring program will require the support of a Senior Manager.

The Senior Manager of the SRKW Monitoring Program will establish, manage, provide direction for and oversee the overall SRKW Monitoring Program. This will include the management of staff and contractors, monitoring objectives/methods, assets, and project budgets and work plans.
