Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Crew member to participate in the care, maintenance and repair of all GVHA properties and facilities, and for them to be maintained in serviceable condition and be safe for public use at all times. This position also participates in the set-up and take-down for GVHA events and all marine pump out/waste management activities. Ideally, you have a well-rounded background and skill set in facility maintenance and construction. You are knowledgeable in the safe use of tools and equipment operation and have a strong awareness of public safety when conducting maintenance activities. Experience in a marine environment is an asset, and are proficient in boat handling and operation and knowledgeable of harbour and waterway regulations. You also have a valid Class 5 Drivers License.

The successful candidate has a strong awareness of work and public safety, a willingness to learn and participate in operational activities, and be available for weekend shifts. In addition, effective communication and customer service skills, and is a strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a team environment. Greater Victoria Harbour Authority is a federally regulated organization, as such all employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
