Transition Salt Spring will be hosting On The Rise – An arts festival navigating climate grief and action. The festival will be a month–long taking place this September, aimed at utilizing art and creative expression to bring awareness to the climate emergency. The festival aims to unite participants in a wide variety of activities that will allow participation, engagement, and expression from all ages and walks of life.

• Professionally Facilitated Grief Circles
• Film Showings
• Artistic Workshops
• Climate Grief Processional/Parade/Protest Walk featuring the Tzinquaw Dancers from Quw’utsun and the ANSWER Women’s Drum Group which is an urban Victoria women’s drum group with representation from Nuuchahnulth, Mohawk, M’iqmaw, Anishnawbe, Métis and Cree women.
